The top natural mineral water manufacturer in Malaysia recognised among the world’s top brands

Shah Alam, 06 April 2015 –

Spritzer was recently recognised at the World Branding Awards with a Brand of the Year 2015 National Award in the Water category. The event recognises some of the best global and national brands for their work and achievements. The National Award is presented to the very top brands in each participating country – brands that are household names in their home country that have been judged to be truly exceptional.

The ceremony held in Paris saw 50 brands from 22 countries awarded, selected from over 2,500 brands from 35 countries that were nominated for the Awards. Award winners were judged through four streams: brand valuation, consumer market research, public online voting, as well voting by the World Branding Forum Advisory Council, which is made up of luminaries from the world of branding.

Spritzer Bhd Executive Director Dr Chuah Chaw Teo said: “This award is an honour and a testament to the strong brand equity that Spritzer enjoys amongst consumers. As a homegrown company receiving an international award, this is a recognition that we are on the right track in our brand building efforts. It means a lot to us that the hard work, determination, intense perseverance and continuous innovation put into the Spritzer brand portfolio did not go unnoticed.”

“Being voted and judged as the top water brand in Malaysia assures us that we are delivering on our brand promise to provide Malaysians with pure and safe natural mineral water that they can enjoy. This shows that consumers find the Spritzer brand trustworthy and deserves their brand Ioyalty, and we want to dedicate this award to them. It is a great inspiration and motivation to all those who have worked tirelessly in building and maintaining the Spritzer brand and position,” Dr Chuah added.

The prestigious World Branding Awards is organised by the World Branding Forum (WBF), a global non-profit organisation dedicated to advancing branding standards for the good of the branding community as well as consumers. It organises and sponsors a range of educational programmes, including collaborations with leading universities and museums.

Spritzer – the No. 1 natural mineral water brand enjoyed by most Malaysians for its great and distinct good taste, celebrated 25 years of excellence and success last year. Spritzer Natural Mineral Water is produced in a completely automated state-of-the-art plant manned by team of specialists including microbiologists, food technologists, engineers and chemists.

The secret of success for the Spritzer brand is in the water source or aquifer. The water source is located in a vast landbank of 330 acres (equivalent to 266 football fields) covered by pristine and unspoiled surroundings of natural tropical rainforest, away from all pollution, hence providing complete protection to the integrity, quality and safety of its natural mineral water. From source to bottle, Spritzer Natural Mineral Water is untouched by hands. Recent geological findings at this location with unique rock structures have dated the land form to be as old as 200 to 214 million years.

Spritzer Natural Mineral Water has been discovered by two universities in the UK to contain therapeutic amounts of soluble silicon or Orthosilicic Acid (OSA), an important trace mineral which has been shown to synthesise collagen in the body, and is hence beneficial for skin, bones, hair and other connective tissues such as blood vessels and joints.

Silicon or OSA has also been shown to very effective in removing aluminium – a known neurotoxin, from the body. Aluminium is suspected to be one of the causes of Alzheimer’s Disease. Spritzer has been used in a human clinical trial at Keele University in England and the findings were published in the prestigious Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease, showing that long term drinking of Spritzer- a silicon rich natural mineral water  can reduce an individual’s everyday exposure to aluminium and lower the levels of this unwanted neurotoxin in their body. The result also showed that in individuals with Alzheimer’s Disease, the lowering of aluminium levels in the body may benefit cognitive function.
