Soluble Silicon (Si) as OSA Favour Bone Formation

In the publication ” Effects of soluble silicon compound and deep-sea water on biochemical and mechanical properties of bone and the related gene expression in mice ” released in the prestigious Journal Bone Mineral and Metabolism (2008) 26 : 446 - 455, Professor Maehira from Faculty of Medicine, University of the Ryukyus, Nishihara, Okinawa, Japan showed that Si at 10 ppm (10 mg/L) and deep-sea water as its natural material stimulated cell growth in both osteoblasts and osteoblasts in cell culture and promoted bone metabolic turnover in favour of bone formation through stimulation of the related mRNA genes expression in animal experiments.

Comment:

Another evidence for the bone formation ability of Si as OSA.

Recently, several research has pointed to the healthy benefits for bone and other connective tissues such as skin, hair and nails in consuming diet rich in Si as OSA.

Spritzer Natural Mineral Water contains 35 mg of Si as OSA in one litre.  This amount consumed daily should provide sufficient Si for your health benefits.
